Who Am I?
My name is Kevin (Tao) Lin, I am originally from Mainland China. I am a student at the University of Dubuque who is passion it about 3D animation and digital illustration. I enjoy using 3ds max and Adobe Illustrator to create different types of models and design. I am a fun-loving person who enjoys working with others even under pressure. I also work well indepentently. I believe it is imporant to finish projects before the deadline. I always make sure I understand my clients' needs and wants.

The outside of the brochure
This is the Front of the brochure which I made with InDesign. The purpose of this brochure is to help people learn how to save money. I used the theme colors of the company to make the triangles. When this is folded, the triangles are connect it. It creates one smooth design.
Inside of the brochure

Town house
This is the project I made with Adobe Illusrator. The purpose of this porject is to use the pen tool to create a house. I created bricks and imported in the house which makes it more real. I also created some shapes that made the flowers and grass.
China Ocean
This is a website I made with cms. I used wix to create this website for my mother's business. The purpose of this project was to find a business that would allow students to create a website for them. Since My mom is a business woman, she allows me to create this site for her business.
Front of the magazine
This is the project I made with Adobe InDesign. The purpose of this porject is to combine images and text in a way that would be attractive to readers. I chose this topic because I intersted in the Civil War, and Mathew Brady's powerful images grab reader's attention.
Pen tool
This is the the pen tool project I made with adobe Illustrator. THe purpose of this project is to become prosicient with the Pen tool. I created five objects and I put them together to creare a scene.
Dolphin
This is the motion project I made with Adobe Illusrator. The purpose of this is to show movement and texture. I can only use the pen tool to draw the shape of the dolphin, which took me along time to create a correct color.
Back of the magazine
I arranged the images on the back to go along with the text to create more emotional impact. I chose this topic because I intersted in the Civil War, and Mathew Brady's powerful images grab reader's attention.
Four season Stamp
This is the stamp project which I made with Adobe Illustrator. The purpose of this project is to take four related images with one theme to create a stamp. I used the four seasons to make as my theme. I adjusted the color to create different seasons.
Sexual assault poster
This is a poster I made with Adobe InDesign. The purpose of this porject is to encourage women to speak up if they have been sexually assaulted. At first, I used a black abackaround, then I changed to red which stands out better.
Selfportrait
This is the symbol project I made with Adobe Illusrator. The purpose of this project is to increase our creativity by using symbols and numbers instead of lines and curves. As you can see, the image is made up of almost entirely of symbols.

3D animation Video
This video was for a client who owns a gym with this floor plan. I worked with two others on this project. My job was to create the texture. We work together and negotiated which tasks each person will do. This project taught me how to work as team and understand client's needs and wants.
